The firm's founder, Jack F. Shorstein, began the practice of public accounting in 1959 in Jacksonville. Jack was joined by his brother Bud in 1963. Since that time, audit clients have included manufacturers, wholesalers, self-insurance funds, non-profit organizations and the City of Jacksonville. The firm's tax, accounting and consulting clients are representative of a variety of different professions and businesses, from medicine and law to restaurants and manufacturing.

The firm voluntarily participates in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants quality review program for our accounting and auditing practice, and has received an unqualified opinion.

We currently have nineteen staff members, including eleven certified public accountants. The firm's principals actively participate in community and charitable organizations.
